As an educator for the Taylor County Board of Education I need to say thank you to Mr. Thorn, or RT and sometimes even Ronnie as we referred to him. He was the only bus driver I have ever seen greet every student that entered his bus and then told them good bye as they exited his bus. He was gentle and kind with the students and at the same time had great discipline on his bus! As the Supervisor for Transportation he knew every street or road in Taylor County and he almost knew where every student lived. He started his day at 4:00 a.m. and ended it at 5:00 p.m. with a smile. He was so helpful, patient and reliable! RT did an excellent job for 36 years for the Taylor County Board of Education. He will be truly missed!
