Ronald  M. "R.T."  Thorn
Ronald M. “R.T.” Thorn, age 58 of Wilson Ridge Road, Thornton, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 21, 2014.
He was born August 12, 1955 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Harry H. and
Doris B. (Parsons) Thorn.

He is survived by his wife of 30 ½ years, Bonita M. “Bunny” (McClain ) Thorn; one sister, Anna M. Barrett of Thornton; one brother, Michael D. Thorn and wife, Tina of Thornton; five nieces, Kelly Sturm and husband Brandon, Amanda Thompson and husband Curt, Erica Cunningham, Katrina Hostler and husband Brandon, and Courtney Thorn; two nephews, Steven Barrett and Scott Anthony, Jr.; three great nieces, Ava Barrett, Abby Thompson, and Brakelle Sturm; two great nephews, Brock Sturm and Maxwell Cunningham; one sister-in-law, Johnna Anthony and boyfriend Jimmy Thompson; his father-in-law, John McClain and wife Carol; and his “fur babies”, Scruffy and Arielann.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one nephew, Christopher Cunningham and his mother-in-law, Betty S. McClain.

Ron worked for the Taylor County Board of Education for 36 years as a bus driver and the last 5 ½ years as the supervisor of transportation. He faithfully served his Lord and was a licensed pastor through the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, February 25th from 2:00-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the First Grace Brethren Church of Grafton (located at 45 West Charles Street, behind the Dairy Queen) on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Michael Willis, Randy Haulk, and Steve Cisney officiating.
Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Independence.
Ron will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at
11:00 a.m.
