Condolence: BUNNY: Sorry we could not be with you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss seeing Ron's smiling face, but he will be smiling from above as our Lord says to him, "well done, thy good and grateful servant". HE will be greatly missed. (Goodbye Pastor Ron.)

Condolence From: Chris Johnson
Condolence: Growing up in the Grace Brethren Church in Washington, PA, my connection with Ron was through church youth activities/camp. His nickname was "Haystack." I remember what a humble and caring man he was. And of course, we all loved Bunny and thought they made a great pair. Bunny, you are in my prayers for comfort and peace.

Condolence From: Nathan J. Havenner
Condolence: On behalf of the Havenner family, I would like to express our sympathies to the Thorn family. I met R.T this fall when I drove down to see my grandfathers plaque in the bus garage. R.T was so nice to me that day. He said my grandfather had hired him and shared some great stories. I could tell that he was a credit to the department of transportation and the town of Grafton. May the lord be with you during this difficult time.

Condolence From: Anthony Fratto
Condolence: Mrs. Thorn, please accept my condolences and sympathy for your loss. I mostly knew Ron through the telephone, but, we spoke almost daily since January 2nd discussing the roads and weather conditions for the school buses. He was usually the first to call and always upbeat and cheerful, even at 4:00 am. I just last week told him how much i appreciated his knowledge of the weather radars and computer models. I only saw him once or twice a year at conferences, but he was just as cheerful and friendly.
I know the boys and girls of Taylor County were better off for Ron's efforts and diligence. He was truly a professional.
May God Bless you and yours, as well as Ron during this trying time.

Condolence From: Diana & Chuck Patterson
Condolence: Dearest Bunny & the Entire Thorn family,
Chuck and I were deeply grieved to hear the news of Ron's passing today. I know there are no words that we can say to comfort you now, nor adequate words to express how deeply sorry we are that you have to endure this loss. I know Ron's passing will leave a great void in the hearts of all that knew and loved him. Many alumni from the G.H.S. class of 1974 were fortunate enough to have know Ron, and we called him our FRIEND. We too will miss his kind, gentle, happy spirit and his warm smile. He certainly was a gem and his presence in this world made it a better place.
We offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and the comfort of knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through this difficult time.
We ask for God's blessings on you and your wonderful family. May you find courage and strength to move forward in peace, may God wrap his loving everlasting arms around you and may you find confidence in knowing that Ron's life was well-lived. God Bless you Bunny and if you need anything please call us.
Yours in Peace!

Condolence From: Kathy Green
Condolence: As an educator for the Taylor County Board of Education I need to say thank you to Mr. Thorn, or RT and sometimes even Ronnie as we referred to him. He was the only bus driver I have ever seen greet every student that entered his bus and then told them good bye as they exited his bus. He was gentle and kind with the students and at the same time had great discipline on his bus!
As the Supervisor for Transportation he knew every street or road in Taylor County and he almost knew where every student lived. He started his day at 4:00 a.m. and ended it at 5:00 p.m. with a smile. He was so helpful, patient and reliable!
RT did an excellent job for 36 years for the Taylor County Board of Education. He will be truly missed!
