Ronald Earl Carr, age 69 of Brownlow Avenue, Grafton, WV passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his residence.
He was born August 23, 1947 in Hall, WV a son of the late William Lee Carr, Sr. and Dema Almonta (Zirkle) Carr.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald E. Carr, II and wife Richlyn, of Poolesville, MD, William Lee Carr and wife Christina, of West Palm Beach, FL, and Clinton Wayne Carr and companion, Arlinda L. Seely of Dover, DE; nine grandchildren, Richlyn Ariel, Alona Marie, Arianna Elizabeth, Rianna Alice, Ronald Austin, Andre King, Andrew King, Delaney Carr, and Darity Carr; three sisters, Delores Chapman and husband Jim, of New Castle, Wyoming, Janet McCord and husband Larry, and children, Randy, Sheri, and Alisa of Accident, MD, and Debra Carr of Belington, WV; one brother, Willard Carr and wife Beverly, and children, Cindy, Gayle, and Kathy of Elizabeth, PA; two nieces , Lorri Johns and Stephenie Riley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Michael Carr and
William L. Carr, Jr. and one sister, Shirley Swearingen.

Ronald graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School with the Class of 1964 and served in the US Marines. He moved to Rockville, MD where he was employed as a Tree Arborist (expert tree trimmer) for the US Government. He was injured while working and later developed Parkinson’s Disease in 1997 and has been severely disabled since that time. Ron moved to Grafton to be near his brother, Steve. Steve’s wife, Patsy and children, Michael, Timmy, and Traci have been very supportive to Ron over the years. Ron was fortunate to have had wonderful caregivers, friends, neighbors, and the EMS Squad who were always there to help.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, deer and coon hunting, with his father, brothers, and Uncle Alford and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Wednesday, November 16th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kelly Martin officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
Graveside military services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Marine Corps Kilo Company 325 of N. Versailles, PA.
