Miss Brown was my grade school teacher in 3rd or 4th grade when she became Mrs. Edwards sometime between 1955-1958. (It might have been 2nd grade.) But, I remember when she came back to class with that different name due to her marriage that it rocked my little world to "loose" Miss Brown to this new name woman. Somehow to me, it felt like some kind of betrayal or a nasty trick. Kids! How they think. And, as a woman I now realize why she would sometimes slip her hand into the top of her blouse at the shoulder to adjust something. But, then it was just an interesting thing to observe not knowing the reason. I don't remember much else of that year or Mrs. Edwards, but it was a very good year and I did love her! In 2012, I visited her in the nursing home in Grafton. I don't think she could remember me, but it warmed my heart to see her anyway. I send my condolences to each of her family. With best regards, Linda Roberts
