Beatrice M. “Bea” (Moore) Hovatter, age 92 of Hovatter Road, Thornton, WV passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Strother James and Alta Esther (Stewart) Moore.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer Ray Hovatter who passed away October 4, 2004.

She is survived by two children, Charles R. “Chuck” Hovatter and wife Ruth Ann of Ridgeley, WV and Kimberly Sue Hovatter Thomas and husband Arles Thomas Jr. of Thornton; two grandchildren, Karla Jo Derespiris of Cleveland, OH and Brian Keith Hovatter of Ashly,OH; two great-grandchildren, Christal R. Bell and husband Nick of Pittsburgh, PA and Brian Sturtz of Great Falls, MT; two sisters, Velma Rosier of McClenny FL and Linda Paris of Bridgeport, WV; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1943.
Bea was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister to her family. She enjoyed her family, making quilts, and cross-stitching.
She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, August 4th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 with Rev. Judy Flynn officiating.
Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
