Obituary for Teddy Lee "Ted" Haddix

Teddy Lee (Ted) Haddix, age 87, of Apollo Ave., Grafton, WV passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Rosewood Health Care Center.
He was born April 20, 1929 in Century #1 , Barbour County , the son of the late Charles Ezra and Flo Ethel (Godwin) Haddix.

He is survived by one son, Eric Lee Haddix of Grafton; two daughters, Beth Ann Riddle and husband Anthony ”Tony” Riddle of Newburg, WV, Janella Haddix of Parkersburg, WV; four grandchildren Erica Paige Haddix Cunningham and husband Jarrett A. Cunningham of Grafton, Raven Leigh Haddix of Fairmont, WV, Mitchell Toby Riddle of Newburg, WV, Cole Logan Riddle of Newburg, WV; three great-grandchildren, Zoey Dawn Riddle, Madison Riddle and Summer Riddle. Also survived by three sisters, Anna Belle McVicker of Grafton, Carollyn Johnson of Florida, and Mildred Gadd of Florida; two brothers Doug Haddix of Canton, Ohio and Dennie McCord of Grafton, WV; and also several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold “Bucky” Haddix, James E. Haddix and Blaine F. Haddix; one sister, Joan Wyer; and his former wife Janice Irene (Ellers) Haddix;

Ted served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was the owner of T.E. Haddix Heating and Cooling of Grafton. He was Baptist by faith.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 2, 2016, from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home and from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor James E. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery at Pruntytown.
