Condolence: Ernie, Shannon, and family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Guy's passing. We had become closer in my last few years at TCMS (until my retirement in 2005). I loved being with her and talking to her. She always had some bit of wisdom, a recipe, or news about both of you to share. She was such a delight to be around. Everyone she came in contact with respected her. I considered Guy a true friend, and my life was blessed by her friendship. She was so proud of both of you, and i am sure she enjoyed being a grandmother more than anything she had ever done. Condolence: Shannon, my heart aches for you at the loss of your mother. Guy was a good friend to me for many years. When Rusty Phillips and I retired, she invited us and Jean Crites to her home for a retirement dinner. She also went with us several times to the Springs Folk Festival, and we always had a wonderful time together. You, your dad, and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Each year when I pull out the old-fashioned Santa ornament she gave me and hang it on my tree, I will thank God again for the blessing of her friendship. She was a wonderful lady. God bless you.
