Janice L.  Satterfield (Lambert)
Janice L. (Lambert) Satterfield, 84, of Kissimmee, Florida formerly of Grafton passed away peacefully January 26, 2016 in Kissimmee, Florida.
Janice was born February 9, 1931 in Grafton, WV to the late Russell and Avis (Scranage) Lambert. On January 6, 1950 she married Arnold L. Satterfield.
She is survived by six children Charles Gary and wife Lynn, Robert Lee and wife Brenda, James Michael and wife Tammie, Debra Ann and husband Mark, David Franklin and wife Debbie, Pamela Sue and husband Stanley; Thirteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. One sister JoAnn Pederson and husband Myron, one brother Robert Lambert and wife Jean; sisters in-law Marie Stevens, Ruby Guthrie, Harlene Satterfield and Margaret Satterfield; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty six years, Arnold; brothers in-law Ronald Stevens, French Guthrie, Earl Satterfield and Lawrence Satterfield.
She was the longest standing member of Beulah Baptist Church, and was the first Taylor County Fair Queen. She was a 1949 Graduate of Grafton High School. She was a seamstress who enjoyed making band uniforms, wedding dresses and clothing. She spent many hours working on fundraisers for the high school band and Entertainers. She ran a daycare in her home for several years. She enjoyed cooking and doing dinners at the church.
Friends will be received at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, February 6th from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, February 7th from 1:00-4:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour on Monday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 8, 2016 with Pastor Richard McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown with Pastor Gary Martin officiating.
