Patricia Ann (Delaney) Mason, age 84 of Summits Ridge, Morgantown, WV passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at her residence.
She was born September 23, 1932 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late George Samuel and Rebecca (Purkey) Delaney.

She is survived by five children: Penny Lee Wayson of Grafton, Donald S. “Skip” Mason and wife Cindi of Grafton, Rebecca Diane Feeney of Morgantown, John David Mason of Grafton, and Laura Beth Higdon and husband Dan of Tampa, FL; thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Patricia was one of nine children including John Delaney of Romney, WV; William Delaney of Centerville, MD; Rosemary Goss of San Antonio, TX; and Sandra Delaney of Morgantown; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Mason who passed away April21, 2012; two brothers, George and Richard Delaney; and two sisters, Helen Withers and Jean Jackson.

Pat graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1950 and then graduated on the Dean’s List from the Allegheny Community College in Cumberland.

Pat married Donald Mason on December 10, 1950, and they shared 62 years together. They met in history class at Grafton High School and married after graduation. When Don entered the ministry, Pat served alongside him in churches in Bruceton Mills, and Morgantown, WV, Bristol, Cumberland, Glenelg, and Catonsville, MD, and also some in Virginia. In the midst of supporting Don in his ministry and raising five children, she also completed two years of college work and had a career with the Federal Government, nearly all of it spent at the Securities & Exchange Commission where she worked as a personnel management specialist. She retired in
December 1992 after 23+ years of service.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday,
May 25th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with
Rev. Junius Lewis officiating.
Interment will follow at the Bluemont Cemetery in Grafton.
