Donald  Wayne  Funk Sr.
Donald Wayne “Pap” Funk, Sr., age 69 of Rankin Rd., Tunnelton, WV passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at his residence.
He was born July 12, 1947 in Howesville, WV, a son of the late Jack Alonzo and Mabel Irene (Bolyard) Funk.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Carolyn June (Ridenour) Funk; two children, Tabatha R. Funk-Osborne and husband, Tim and Donald W. “Bub” Funk Jr., and wife, Jill both of Tunnelton; six grandchildren, Shane Osborne, Brandon Edwards and wife, Haely, Elijah Osborne and Breanna Sisler, Caleb Osborne, Adrian Funk, and Delsie Funk; two brothers, Randy Myers and wife Mary, of Thornton and Robert Myers and wife Christine of Grafton; two sisters, Mary Baxley of Morgantown and Terry Shumaker and husband Dennis, of Grafton; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donald graduated from Tunnelton High School with the Class of 1965 then served in the US Army 354 Ordinance and 99 Arcon from 1965-1971.
He previously worked at Sterling Faucet in Reedsville, Harman Construction, and as a heavy equipment operator at Manheim Stone.
He was a member of the Taylor County Post #12 American Legion.

“Pap” loved coaching basketball and did so for many years for the Felllowsville Athletics. He also loved farming, hunting, family and especially his grandkids.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, May 15th from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
A private burial will be at the Mt. Israel Cemetery on Tuesday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m.
