L. Hartley "Joe"  Burgreen
L. Hartley “Joe” Burgreen, Jr., age 87 of Martin Road, Grafton, WV passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his residence.
He was born January 13, 1930 a son of the late Leonidas Hartley Burgreen and Georgia Ellen (Fullen) Burgreen.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Margaret L. (Martin) Burgreen; five children, Micah E. Cokinos (Mitchell) of Hiram, GA, Linda J. Vallorani (Ray) of Grafton; Richard R. Burgreen (Pam) of Concord, GA, Joyce L. Lambert (Tom) of Grafton, and James A. Burgreen (April) of Molena, GA; twenty-one grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Betty Kisner of Grafton and Marion Ohler of Georgia; one brother-in-law, D. Keith Martin of Fairmont; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert C. Burgreen and John R. Burgreen; one sister, Bettie Belle Burgreen Gower; and two great-grandsons, Carter and Landon Vallorani.

Joe retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Fairmont as a truck driver with over 50 years of service.
He enjoyed his family, church, truck driving, music, and farming.
He was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, February 24th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Harmony Grove Baptist Church on Saturday,
February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ernest C. Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at the Harmony Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Burgreen will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00.
