Franklin Mead  Taylor Sr.
Franklin M. Taylor, Sr., age 79 of Blueville Drive, Grafton, WV passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his residence.
He was born April 19, 1937 in Shiloh, VA a son of the late William Arthur and Doris Gertrude (Bryant) Taylor.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Ann J. (Windsor) Taylor; five children, Susan N. (Greg) Brown of Belleville, IL, Franklin M. Taylor, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Nancy L. (Edmond) Mason of Fredricksburg, VA, Cindy T. (Jay) Bolyard of Tunnelton, WV and William A. Taylor of Clinton, MD; six grandchildren, Andrew Brown, Matthew Brown, Marah Walsh, Bethany Nielson, Megan Nielson, and Tristan Taylor; five great-grandchildren and two on the way; one sister, Shirley Padgett (Jack) of Leonardtown, MD; one sister-in-law, Roberta Taylor of Leonardtown, MD; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Courtney Brown; one sister, Edna Pyles; two brothers, Clay Taylor and wife, Zona, and William Taylor.

Frank served in the US Air Force from 1956-1959. He was an auto mechanic for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission of Montgomery and Prince George counties in Maryland.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and past president of the WV Antique Automobile Association.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
A Catholic funeral service will be officiated by Fr. James O’Connor at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the Wright-Patterson AFB Honor Guard.
