Carl A. Snyder, Sr., age 82 of Watkins Road (Home Away From Home), Grafton, WV passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Grafton City Hospital.
He was born May 10, 1934 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Farley Dean Snyder and Alice Afton (Workman) Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Thelma Juanita (DeLauder) Snyder.

Surviving are two children, Carl A. Snyder, Jr. and wife Susie and Debbie J. Davis and husband, Jeff, all of Grafton; four grandchildren, Amy M. Moats and husband, Mike of Grafton, Matthew T. Snyder of Morgantown, Caitlin R. Davis of Grafton, and J.D. Davis also of Grafton; three great-grandsons, Garrett, Tanner, and Jacob Moats; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Carl was a heavy equipment operator for the City of Grafton for 12 years and was a self-employed truck driver for 2-3 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Deland, FL.
He enjoyed his family, listening to 8-Track tapes, going to yard sales and flea markets.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Wednesday, September 14th from 4:00-8:00p.m.
At Carl’s request, he will then be cremated.
