Bernard Montgomery age 80 of 726 Upper Beech St., Grafton passed away June 5, 2016 at Rosewood Health Care Center. Bernard was born November 14, 1935 in Grafton, the son of the late Bernard Doyle Montgomery Sr and Mildred Marie (Lambert) Montgomery.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Shirley Elaine (Wickham) Montgomery; three daughters Katherine Marie Price and spouse Kevin Price of Greenwood, Ind., Nancy Elaine Uphold and spouse Lonnie Uphold of Vera Beach, Fla., Beverly Williams and spouse Timothy Williams of Fairmont, WV. , one son Timothy Bernard Montgomery of Grafton. Six Grandchildren Robert, Joseph, Christopher, and Brandon Price, Madison Uphold, Caleb Williams. Seven Great Grandchildren, also survived by several nieces and nephews. One brother-in-law James Wickham of Richmond, Va.

Bernard graduated from Grafton High School with the class of 1953.

He retired from the CSX Railroad Company in Grafton with 42 years service working as a mechanist.

Bernard was a member of Parkview Church of Nazarene . He was an avid bowler and enjoyed collecting model trains. He was a member of the Machinist Union Local #212

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016 , 3 p.m. to 8p.m. and Thursday June 9, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11.00a.m. at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home with Rev Michael Delligatti officiating.
Interment will follow at the Bluemont Cemetery .
