Condolences

Condolence From: Roy Aiken Jr
Condolence: I was up thinking about Max and some of my classmates at FGBI; and i came across this. My heart goes out to you and your children Tonia. He was a great preacher. I remember in one of our chapel services he recited the entire 11th chapter of Hebrews.

Ps 46:1

Condolence From: Rev. Warren "Chip" Roy
Condolence: It is hard for me to believe that it will soon be a year! I really miss the brother! I really believe that my friend Rev. David Shoemaker was a great man of God!
His passing just makes Heaven sound a little sweeter to me and makes me long for the Rapture of the Church(I Thess.4:13-18; Rev. 4:1)!
God bless you Sis. Tonia. Keep on keeping on for Jesus!

Condolence: Sometimes it is difficult to process certain events…or as the kids would say “wrap your brain around it”…and this is one of those times. My cousin David was one of those wonderful people who is so thoughtful and kind and engaging that he was a joy to be around. He will be missed by those whom he has touched and there will be a void at the family reunions. Nonetheless, his special memory will be with me, and he and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Linda Jeffries Lasater (John’s daughter)

Condolence: I'm sorry Aunt June is gone and I will miss her so much but I'm glad she is finally home and not Suffering anymore This one I do not understand but Gods plan is always perfect! David was one of the best men I've ever known and I loved him very much!! He and my brother Mike are a lot alike in a lot of ways in my book, great fathers, sons, brothers and husbands! Both are my heros along with my Pop and I pray that I can be like them to those around me. I am so upset about this!! This man deserved to live longer for nothing more than his dedication to serving the lord and his love for others and his family!! I'm so so sorry he is gone and I will miss him!! Whether anyone knew it or not, I thought of David often and would say a few words to the lord about him. He was always an inspiration to me and I'm sure he did not know that!! I was too late in telling him that. A memory that I will always have of him although there was 8 years between us when I would visit, David always made time for me even taking me to the basketball court to show me some new moves. I thought he was the coolest! A wonderful tribute to the awesome job Aunt June did with her children all by herself! In closing, David you were one of my heros and I will miss you until I see you again my cousin, my brother!!

Condolence: We are heart broken in our house. We have all lost a great humble man of God. I'll miss getting an unexpected call just to see how we were doing. Thank God for cell phone texting too David & I used that tool also to keep in touch. David is not only my dear cousin, friend & brother in Christ but also my prayer partner. I know heaven is a little brighter today & the Angels are rejoicing with David. Tonia, Andrew , David ll & bro. David's family will always be in our prayers. Bill & Margaret Jeffries

Condolence From: Pastor Travis Matney
Condolence: I'm not sure Heaven makes any men better than David Shoemaker; we are saddened by His departure but certain of His destination. Only Heaven knows the impact that was made on and in my life at "Camp Echo 1995" in Cabins, WV. in large part because Bro. Shoemaker and His willingness to "believe" in Me along with the many others He believed in; what can I say besides, "Well Done Bro. Shoemaker." To Sis. Shoemaker and the Boys, "You are in Our Thoughts and Prayers. God Is More than Enough in this difficult time. We Love You."
