Minnie Evelyn (Watson) Fawcett, age 88 of Parkview Road, Grafton, WV passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the home of Lonnie and Donna Mayle.
She was born April 20, 1927 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Charles Morgan and Martha Rosanna (Cox) Watson.

She is survived by one son, Ronald E. Fawcett and wife Sara of Grafton; one daughter, Barbara A. Watkins and husband George also of Grafton; four grandchildren, Anthony Craig Watkins of Flowery Branch, GA, Misty L. Watkins, Amy K. Fawcett and Rebecca M. Fawcett Markley and husband Richard, all of Grafton; one great grandson, Conner M. Markley; two sisters-in-law, Anna Clyde (Fawcett) Boyles of Grafton and Elaine Watson of Houston, PA; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Minnie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James R. Fawcett who passed away August 26, 2009; one son, Charles F. Fawcett; four brothers, Lewis, Dorsey, Carl, and Merle Watson; and two sisters, Lillian Roach and Elva Compton.

Minnie formerly worked as a clerk at the Grafton Bakery, Devers Store, and then Phillips Pharmacy for 16 years.
She was PTA president, S.S. Class president, Local District and State President of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary, member of the Naomi Chapter 12 O.E.S., board member at the Taylor County Senior Center, and secretary of the Tygart Valley Motorcycle Club.

She attended the Parkview Nazarene Church.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, December 15th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December16, 2015 with Pastor Mike Delagotti officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
The Naomi Chapter 12 O.E.S. will conduct a memorial service Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
