Obituary for Helen Louise Wilson (Weaver)

Helen L. (Weaver) Wilson, age 85 of Victory Avenue, Grafton, WV passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Grafton City Hospital.
She was born June 8, 1930 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Percy and Hattie (Boyce) Weaver.

She is survived by two daughters, Sue Arnold and husband, John of Kingwood and Paula Stewart of Stow, OH; four grandchildren, Tina Stewart Clement and husband Jake, of Copley, OH, Jessie Bajer and husband Sonny of Severn, MD, Christopher Arnold of Grafton, and Nicole Arnold of Rowlesburg; three great-grandchildren, Kelley Arnold, Emma Clemont, and Bregan Bajer; five sisters, Dottie Moats and husband Mason of Grafton, Jean Davis and husband Paul of Independence, Elizabeth “Dolly” Sullivan and husband Bill of Grafton, Freda Taylor of NJ, and Dorothy Honsberger of Baltimore, MD; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clyde Wilson who passed away February 19, 2001; one son-in-law, David Stewart; one grandson, Tony Stewart; seven brothers Leon Weaver, Harold Weaver, Tinker Weaver, Fred Weaver, Charles “Peanut” Weaver, Percy
Weaver, Jr., and Leroy “Cookie” Weaver; one sister Esther Adams; two brothers-in-law, Bill Sullivan and Howard Taylor.

Helen graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1948 and retired from Grafton Apparel Company as a seamstress. She was a member of the Oak Grove CEO’S; served on the Board of Directors of the Taylor County Fair Association; was a member of the Bunner’s Ridge Coon Hunter’s Association; and volunteered at the Haymond Community Center.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday,
November 12th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sue Lowther officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
