Obituary for Walter R. "Bud" Breedlove

Walter R. “Bud” Breedlove, age 93, of Haymond Road, Grafton, WV went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born on January 1, 1922 in Grafton, WV
the son of the late John and Dessie (Phillips) Breedlove. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ruth Breedlove. He is survived by one sister sister, Barbara Jean Weaver of Grafton and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jake Breedlove and two sisters, Ila Skinner and Nellie “Tootie” Painter. One brother in law, Ralph Weaver and one sister in law, Phyllis Breedlove.

Bud was a veteran of the US Army serving in England. He retired from Harman Construction as a heavy truck driver and attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. He was a beloved husband, brother and uncle.

Friends may call at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.. with Pastor Bert Coffman officiating. Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bread of Life Mission P.O. Box 711, Grafton, WV 26354 or The Salvation Army 111 Beech Street, Grafton, WV 26354.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the WV Army National Guard of Kingwood.
