Obituary for Martha Elladeane Hines (Linn)
Martha “Elladeane” (Linn) Hines, age 82 of Victory Avenue, Grafton, WV passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the home of Donna and Lonnie Mayle.
She was born October 24, 1932 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late William Henry Martin Linn and Minnie Myrtle (Green) Linn.
She is survived by one daughter, Julie A. Peters and husband Phil of Grafton; one son, Michael L. Hines and wife Amber of Morgantown, WV; five grandchildren, Eli, Logan, and Cade Peters and Kinley and Corbin Hines; one sister, Madonna Lasure of Ft. Mills, SC; five sisters-in-law, Mary Dempsey and husband Bill of Grafton, Dorothy Smith of Parma , OH, Ruth Schulte and husband, Don of Naples, FL, Mary Hines of Grafton, Priscilla Bastin and husband Olie of Mt. Clare, WV; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jeremiah “Jerry” Hines, who passed away on August 21, 2003; four sisters, Gertrude Stevens, Nellie Shackelford, Lucille Tatterson, and Mary Ellen Rutherford; and two brothers, Thomas Linn and Estin Linn.
Elladeane graduated from East Fairmont High School with the Class of 1950 and retired from the Farmers Home Administration in Fairmont as a Loan Specialist. She was a member of the Grafton Women’s Club and a member of the Blueville United Methodist Church in Grafton.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, August 31st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 with Pastor Sue Lowther officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Bread of Life Mission P.O. Box 711, Grafton, WV 26354
