Obituary for Ruth Clair "Ruthie" Weaver (Morris)

Ruth Clair "Ruthie" Weaver (Morris)
Ruth Clair "Ruthie" (Morris) Weaver of Grafton was reunited with her eternal family on Saturday,
August 1, 2015. She was born December 29, 1928. The youngest of eight children to the late Samuel C. and Beatrice (Exline) Morris. A resident at Grafton City Hospital long term care, where she worked as a transcriptionist until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was reunited with her brothers Millard, Ralph and Edwin, her sisters Mary Helen, Ruby, Dorothy, Audrey, step daughter in-law Judy (Culp) Weaver and her husband Russell L. Weaver.
Ruthie leaves a legacy of a close knit family that loved God, each other, and their country. She taught us to do the right thing, take responsibility for your actions, respect yourself and others, and most of all, never ever let anyone walk out your door without a bite to eat.
She loved shoes, flowers, and children but most of all children. While she never gave birth, Ruthie claimed every child she saw, young or old, as her own. She quietly surprised her nieces and nephews with a gift or treat when they needed it the most. They include Mary Lou, JoAnn, Patty, Donna Sue “Shay”, Alice Jean, Russell, David, Doug, Michael, Janice, Jim, Regina, Terry, Beatrice, Ralph and their families. Ruth also dearly loved her step-son, Russell L. “Butch” Weaver, Jr., step-grandchildren Kimberly, Elizabeth, and Jason, and four great grandchildren Charisma, Robert, Caleb and Ryleigh as well as her sisters-in-law, Katherine Morris and Jeannie Musgrove.
A very special thank you to Regina Morris for her guiding hand during the recent days. Thanks also to Crystal Bolyard and her family who loved and cared for Ruthie for several years. The family appreciated the wonderful Amedisys Hospice staff, The Grafton City Hospital family, Dr. Bender and staff of Long Term care. The love and care she was shown is beyond compare.

She loved greatly and was loved greatly in return. We miss her.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, August 4th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
Please join our family in continuing Ruth’s legacy of love with a celebration of her life at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bert Coffman officiating.
Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
