Ruby E. Rutherford, age 86 of Barthelemy Drive, Thornton, WV passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at her residence.
She was born February 4, 1929 in Thornton, WV a daughter of the late Percy L. and Gladys (Simmons) Rutherford.

She is survived by her caregivers, Jim and Rose Gragg and their children, Jennifer, Scott, and Billy; also survived by several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lee Rutherford; one aunt, Lovie Aldridge; and one brother, Charles W. Rutherford.

Ruby worked as a secretary for Welfare Finance in Grafton. She enjoyed her family and watching gospel programs on TV.
She was a member of the Thornton United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, July 6th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home following the visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Lowther officiating.
Interment will follow at the Payne Family Cemetery in Thornton.
