Nathan Robert Rutherford, age 64 of Wickwire Road, Grafton, WV passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his residence.
He was born October 5, 1949 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Nathan Bolyard and Zelma “Katherine” (Rowe) Rutherford.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Carolyn Sue (Martin) Rutherford; one daughter, Melissa Kay Haller and husband, Jeremy of Grafton; one grandson, Nathan Scott Rutherford of Rivesville, WV; one brother, Carl Armour Rutherford; five sisters, Betty Lee Shumaker, Juanita “Joan” Milton, Ada Katherine Garner, Jean Elaine Foglesong, and Carol Sue Kinneer; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Scott “Scotty” Rutherford; two sisters, Mary Jane Rutherford, his twin sister, Nancy Rosella Bolyard and Marie Imogene Rutherford; and two brothers, Harold Paul “Sonny” Rutherford and James Ray Rutherford.

Nathan graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1969. He worked as a chemical mixer at the Rexhide Rubber Plant for over 25 years and was a former member of the N.R.A.
Nathan enjoyed his family, friends, hunting, fishing, and especially his grandson, Nathan.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, August 29th from 2:00-8:00p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Spence officiating.
Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
