Obituary for Mary Francis Shuttleworth (McDaniel)
Mary Francis (McDaniel) Shuttleworth, age 89 of Hospital Plaza, Grafton, WV passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her residence.
She was born May 13, 1925 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Hayward Clarence and Sarah Edith (Davis) McDaniel.
She is survived by two children, Clyde H. Shuttlesworth and wife Debbie and Donna S. Moran and husband Joe, both of Grafton; two grandsons, James Shuttleworth and wife Arielle of Grafton and Joseph Moran and wife Christie of Lumberport, WV; one step-grandson, Stephen Ford of Grafton; three great grandchildren, Casey Knight, James Shuttleworth, and Emily Shuttleworth; two step-great granddaughters, Ashley and Alyscenne Ford; one step-great grandson, Brendan Pysell; two sisters, Minnie Louise McDaniel, of Grafton, and Dortha Jean Medrick of Canfield, OH; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Shuttleworth; one granddaughter, Anissa Ann Shero; and one sister, Thelma Murphy.
Mary graduated from Grafton High School and worked as a cook at the Grafton City Hospital for 13 years. She was a member of the Blueville United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sue Lowther officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
