Mary Elizabeth (McCracken) Bolyard, age 88 of Rt. 1, Knottsville Community passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Arbors Nursing Home in Fairmont, WV.

She was born on June 28, 1925 in Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Milliage Leo and Myrtle Mildred (McDaniel) McCracken.

She is survived by her two sons Robert “Mike” Bolyard and wife Janie of Grafton, and Howard D. Bolyard Jr. and wife Vickie of Thornton; three grandchildren, Julie Beth Dowdy and husband Daniel, Billie Jo Wilson and husband Kelly, and Jeremy Taylor Bolyard and wife Jessica all of Grafton, seven great- grandchildren, Jessica and Karly Kennedy, Taylor and Hunner Wilson, Taylor and Ellie Bolyard, Hannah Dowdy, and four great- great grandchildren. Also survived by five sisters; Betty Carr, Elthel Abel and husband Delma, Connie Abel and husband Eddie, Anna Jane McCloy all of Grafton, and Barbara McMillen of Chicago, IL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Kathleen Abel and Norma Jean Edwards, and one brother Paul Leo McCracken at birth.

Mary worked at the Grafton Apparel Company, and the West Virginia Plastics Company in Grafton. She was a member of the Pruntytown United Methodist Church, and was very active with the Bread of Life Mission where she served as a member of the Board of Directors.
