Larry L. Davis, age 70, of Paul Davis Road, Independence, WV passed away suddenly on Monday, April 6, 2014 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
He was born May 4, 1943 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Paul Dee Davis and Elizabeth Maude (Matthew) Davis.

He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Sue Toothman and husband Charles Allen of Warrenton, VA; two grandchildren, Sarah Danielle Toothman and Charles Ryan Toothman, both at home; two sisters, Virginia Ellis and husband, Jack, of Grafton and Iris Hyson and husband, Dick, of Silver Spring, MD; one brother, Paul Robert “Peck” Davis and wife, Jean, of Independence; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bailey Matthew Davis and one nephew, Paul Leslie Davis.

Larry graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1962 and was the owner of Davis Dozer Company of Independence. He was also a veteran of the US Army, and a devoted father and grandfather who never met a stranger.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday, April 10th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Carl Trickett officiating.
