Obituary for Hayward W. Cooper

Hayward W. Cooper, age 78 of Beverly Pike, Grafton, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born December 10, 1935 in the McGee Community of Taylor County, a son of the late Carl William and Lena Lucille (Tucker) Cooper.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Evelyn Lorraine (Shroyer) Cooper; three children, Charles D. Cooper of Fairmont, Carl R. Cooper and wife, Kathy of Harmony Grove Community, and Joyce E. Phillips and husband, Mike of Grafton; two grandsons, Michael C. Workman and Joshua R. Cooper; and two sisters, Martha Louise Harris of St. Cloud, FL and Marlene Sprigg of Fairmont.

Hayward was a union carpenter with the Morgantown Local 604 and he attended the Rock Alter Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family , NASCAR, collecting model cars, fishing, square dancing, enjoyed attending church sings and listening to Bluegrass Gospel.
