Ronald L. “Ronnie” Carder, age 81 of Harmony Grove Road, Grafton, WV passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family
He was born March 3, 1938 in Grafton, WV the son of the late Harvey L. Carder and Juanita (Primm) Carder.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jenny Lynn (Zinn) Carder; one daughter, Rhonda L. Bauer and husband Roy of Grafton; three grandchildren, Ariel D. Sbarra of Grafton, Alena G. Sbarra of North Babylon, NY, and Jessica D. Bauer of Charleston, WV; one great-granddaughter, Alexa L. Sbarra; and also survived by a few cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Alexa Corrine Sbarra.

Ronnie graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1956. He worked as a fieldman at Equitable Gas for over 30 years and was a full time farmer.
He was a member of the American Brahman Association, WV Cattleman’s Association, the American Quarter Horse Association, and attended the Ruppert School of Auctioneering in 1957.
He was also a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church.

Ronnie loved his family and his grandchildren and just enjoyed watching them ride horses.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday, February 27th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Dennis Estes officiating.
Interment will follow at the Harmony Grove Cemetery.
