Obituary for Robert Lee Rucker
Robert L. Rucker, age 59, of Chambers Street, Grafton, WV passed away suddenly Wednesday, September 25, 2019 as a result of an automobile accident. Robert was born March 31, 1960 in Clarksburg, WV the stepson of the late Benjamin W. Tichenor and mother Martha L Tichenor.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Tina (Evans) Rucker; four children, Erika D. Rucker and fiance’ Rocky Cianfrocca, of Fairmont, Robert Cody Rucker and wife Bobbi, Korey A. Richards and husband Michael, and Andrew Blue, all of Grafton; four grandchildren, Wren Richards, Creed Rucker, Noah and Anderson Blue; three brothers: Nolan C. Rucker Jr., James D. Rucker and wife Gwenda, and Garry L. Rucker and wife Jamie all of Grafton; two sisters: Diane Sue Plyman and husband Bob of Clarksburg, WV and Lisa Musgrave and husband Matt also of Grafton; two sister in laws; Linda Anderson and husband Bill of Oakland, Md, Patty Nicolosi
and husband Mike of Avenel, NJ. survived by many beloved nieces and nephews who were very special in his heart; also survived by his beloved dog “Toby”.
Robert graduated with the Class of 1978 from Grafton High School. He worked for West Virginia Dept. of Highways in Grafton as a store keeper for nearly 30 years. Robert enjoyed his family, his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and camping and also his great friends.
Robert was a member of the South Ridge Church in Fairmont.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Sunday, September 29th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Seth Broadhurst officiating. Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
