Obituary for Robert Edgar "Bob" Miller

Robert Edgar “Bob” Miller age 78 of Rosewood Health Care Center, Grafton passed away Saturday , November 4, 2017, at the United Hospital Center, in Bridgeport, WV.

Robert was born in Fairmont, WV, May 22, 1939, son of late John Edgar Miller and Helen Virginia (Hawkins) Miller.

He is survived by three children, Robert Lee Miller and spouse Denise Miller of Aliquippa, PA, Sheryl Ann Rucker of Erie, PA, and Kathryne Lynn Thompson of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Benjamin Paul Rucker of Grafton, WV, Kathryne Jeanette Moore of Atlanta, GA, Justin Robert Moore of Atlanta, GA, Nicholas Robert Miller, Alexis Nicole Miller, and Dominic Jackson Miller all of Aliquippa, PA.; two sisters, Helen Ellaine McCoy of FL and Carolyn Sue Fleming of Fairmont, WV; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, William Lee Miller.

He graduated from Barrickville High School with the Class of 1958 then served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960, serving 2 years in Germany.

Robert worked as a lineman for Monongahela Power Company in Grafton for over 20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grafton. He enjoyed his family, farming, gardening , WVU football, carpentry and was mechanically inclined.

Family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, November 7th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home on Wednesday,
November 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Orville Wright officiating.
Interment will follow at the Bluemont Cemetery, in Grafton.
Military gravesides services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and Army National Guard of Kingwood.
