Obituary for Robert Alan Knotts

Robert Alan Knotts, age 72 of Turner Road, Grafton, WV passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born January 24, 1948 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Odale Cornwell and Mabel Ruth (Cozad) Knotts.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Elaine (Kuhn) Knotts; two daughters, Elaine Y. Streets and husband James of Grafton and Cheryl L. Austin and husband Jeremiah of Thornton; five grandchildren, John Shaffer, Timothy Shaffer and wife Lexi, Craig Shaffer and companion Mikayla Goodwin, Isaiah Austin and Laurel Austin; three great-grandchidren, Shayla Shaffer, Oakley Shaffer, and Everly Goodwin; one brother, Ronald O. Knotts and wife Julie; one sister, Carole F. Klepfel and husband Robert all of Grafton; and some very faithful friends, Steve Jennings, Tim Taylor, Rue and Gary Hoff, Dave and Mary Nines, Linda Bolyard, and Gary Foreman.

Bob graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1966 then served in the US Army from 1966-1969 during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a former construction worker, and was last employed as a bridge and building worker for the Chessie System and CSX Railroad Company for 30 years.

Bob enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his cats, his donkeys, and his love of riding his Harley with his wife Joyce.

There will be no funeral home visitation. Private graveside services will be conducted at the family’s convenience.
