Obituary for Richard Edward Workman

Richard Edward Workman, age 87 of the Rosewood Health Care Center in Grafton, WV passed away Monday, January 28, 2019.
He was born January 17, 1932 in Grafton, WV a son of the late William and Annie (Facemyer) Workman.

He is survived by five children, Mary S. “Susie” Boylen, Richard K. Workman , both of Grafton, MarthaD. Ginn of McMinnville,TN, David M. Workman and wife, Belinda of Martinsburg, WV and Robert Alan Workman and wife Theresa of Grafton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Richard was surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda Sue (Richards) Workman; three brothers, John, Ralph, and Carl Workman; and two sisters, Margaret Harvey and Edna Ashby

Richard was a Corporal in the US Army working in the motor pool during the Korean Conflict.
He worked on the assembly line at the Ozite Rubber Company and Dynatec, Carlson Construction, and was a taxi cab driver.

He enjoyed his family, fishing, and a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Graveside services will be held at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Richard’s grandson, Casey Workman officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the Army National Guard of Kingwood.
