Obituary for Paul Eugene "Buck" Elder II
Paul Eugene (Buck) Elder II , age 61, of Blueville Drive, Grafton WV passed away Thursday, March 21 , 2019 at his residence with his loving family by his side after a long battle with cancer . He was born November 21, 1957 in Morgantown, WV, the son of the late Paul E and Nellie (Henderson) Elder.
Surviving is his mother Nellie M. Elder; one sister Amy M. Summers and husband, Rod of Flemington, WV, two nieces; Sarah M. Gallagher and husband Matthew of Nitro, WV, Molly E. Summers and companion Geno Catalano of Valley Village, California; one nephew, Zachary T. Summers of Rock Springs, Wyo. and fiance’ Katie Daw of Morgantown, WV.
Paul graduated with the class of 1977 from Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandra, Va. He attended Wright State University of Kettering, Ohio. He was a mainstay at Steinbeck-Elder Exxon/Phil’s Tire for over 40 years. If you didn’t see him there, you saw him cruising through Blueville on his bicycle.
In addition to his father Buck was preceded in death by one brother Matthew Elder.
At Paul’s request he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home Visitation will be from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. and a service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Ken Ramsey officiating. Inurnment at the West Virginia National Cemetery will be at a later date.
