Mary Jane  Armstrong
Mary Jane Armstrong, age 78 of Hickory Street, Grafton, WV passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
She was born June 25, 1939 in Independence, WV the daughter of the late Bryan and Hattie (Davis) Armstrong.

She is survived by four first cousins, Jean L. Gans of Grafton, Linda Sue Armstrong Yuricek and husband, George of Warren, OH, Rufus Davis, Jr. of Florida, and John Davis of N. Ridgeville, OH.

Mary Jane graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1957 and then attended Fairmont State College and the WV Business College of Clarksburg. She left Grafton in 1963 to work as a legal secretary for the US Government and for law firms in the D.C. area for 40 years. She returned to Grafton after her retirement in 2003.
She was past president of the GFWCWV Woman’s Club of Grafton and current chairman of the membership committee; past president of the GFWCWV North Central District; and past State Chairman of the WHRC and the 1734 Society. She was also a member of the 4-H All Stars and a member of the B&O Auxiliary and attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Grafton.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Wednesday, August 2nd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kelly Martin officiating.
Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Independence.
