Obituary for Linda Lucille Markley (Gray)
Linda Lucille (Gray) Markley, 72, of Calvary Lane, Grafton, WV, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown surrounded by her family. She was born on February 15, 1950 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Harry Gray and Thelma Kelso Gray.
She is survived by her two children, Lisa Shaffer of Grafton and James “Jimmy” Daff of Canton, OH; three grandchildren, Kayla Lantz and her husband Zackery of Philippi, Hayden Mooney of Fairmont and Mason Daff of Fairmont; two great grandchildren, Reese and Mac Lantz of Philippi; one sister, Lenora “Jean” Tacy of Grafton; one brother, Michael Gray of Grafton.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Tommy “Doc” William Markley, who passed away on March 7, 2009, brothers and sister, Dane Gray, James “Spike” Gray, Richard Gray, Roger Gray and Debbie Gray.
Linda worked at Forco Glass for over 20 years and she was a Christian by faith. She always had her door open to everyone and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Cremation servicers will be provided by the Donald G Ford Funeral Home. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date by the family.
