Leah Irene Powell age 81 of Cardinal Lane, Grafton passed away June 4, 2020 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
She was born July 12, 1938 in Upshur County the daughter of William E. Tominson and Silvia Irene (Chute) Bailes.
Leah was a beloved wife and mother. A member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking, quilting, and enjoyed helping other people.
She is survived by three children: Carla Powell of Grafton, Brian Powell and wife Peggy of Fairmont WV, and Kimberly Jarvis of Fairmont, WV; four grandchildren: Leah Jarvis, Rickey Jarvis, Megan Sapp, and Jarryd Powell all of Fairmont, WV, three great grandchildren: Jonah Moyer, Silas Moyer, and Riley Sapp all of Fairmont, WV: one special friend: Cheryl Stevens of Grafton, WV, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Leah was preceded in death by her husband Carl Edward Powell who passed away March 15, 1998, and one brother: William Tomlinson.
A private visitation for Family will be held at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton, WV. A private graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, WV with Rev Matthew Dobins and Rev. Bert Coffman officiating.
