Lawrence Jeffrey Corbett, age 82 of Beech Street, Grafton, WV passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the Home Away from Home Assisted Living Facility in Grafton.
He was born May 1, 1938 in Lowell, MA a son of the late Bernard and Louise (Bridgeford) Corbett.
He is survived by four children, Linda M. Hylton (John) of Grafton, Cynthia Corbett-Elder of Pompano Beach, FL, Kristen King (Peter) of Keene, NH, Lawrence Corbett, Jr. of Dunedin, FL; seven grandchildren, Hannah Hooper (Pierce),Rachel Hylton, Mary Hylton, Jessica Elder, Matthew Elder, Mariah King, and Emma King; two great-grandchildren, Micah and Lila Hooper; six step-children, Michael Gonzales of Sacramento, California, Susan Sheehan of Woodbridge, Virginia, Kenny Gonzales of Jacksonville, Florida, Barbara Broughton of Spring Hill,Florida, Steven Gonzales of Plant City, Florida, and Richard Gonzales of Richmond, Virginia; one sister, Angela Neagle (Tom) of Naples, FL; two brothers, Dennis Corbett (Louise) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Christopher Corbett (Merrie) of Central Lake, MI; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by His wife, Betty Ann (Nern) Corbett; one brother, Bernard Corbett; one sister, Louise Rowland and his two dogs, Toto and Lulu.
Lawrence was a journeyman/typesetter and print shop manager with the Government Printing Office in in Washington, DC for 20 years. He worked for the Tarpon Springs Post Office and he was also a realtor.
He loved golfing and boating.
The Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton will be handling the local arrangements. Arrangements are incomplete at the Dobies Funeral Home in Hudson, FL.
