Julie Ann Faulkiner Evans, 53, of Shinnston, WV, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at
home after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, with her mother Joyce Faulkiner and other
close loved ones by her side. She fought a long and courageous battle. Julie was born in
Grafton on August 10, 1969 to the late John R. Faulkiner and Joyce P. (Snodgrass) Faulkiner of
Bridgeport whom cared for Julie during her illness.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her eldest son, Devin Scott Faulkiner and
baby sister, Jacqueline Sue Faulkiner.
In addition to her mother Julie is survived by her husband, Joe Michael “Mick” Evans I and son,
Joe Michael “Joey” Evans II, of Shinnston; daughter Daniel Hawkinberry; granddaughter Georgia
or “Stormy” as she knew her; grandson Parker; two sisters: Jamie Philipps (Scott) of Murrells
Inlet, SC, and Jackie Cain of Bridgeport. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, extended family and friends that she loved dearly.
Julie graduated from Flemington High School Class of 1987 and was in the top of her class. She
had high honors and was even offered to be an exchange student to France. Julie was a very
sweet, loving, kind-hearted person that loved being around others and socializing. Her favorite
place was being at the beach and she loved the color purple. She touched many lives and hearts
in her 53 years here and they remember her smile, laughter, bubbly laugh and attitude. She
will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends will be received at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home 950 George
Washington Hwy Grafton, WV, on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10am until the funeral hour
at 1pm with Pastor Rita Robinson presiding. In honoring Julie’s wishes cremation will follow.
