JoEtta Rhea (Mayle) Mayle, (known to most as “Cis”) age 67 of Garrett Mills Lane, Grafton passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at her residence.
She was born February 22, 1952 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late William Harlan Mayle and Evelyn Victoria (Mayle) Mayle.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ernest “Clark” Mayle; two sisters, Marlene Cobbs (Steve) of Columbus, OH and Lisa Stewart of Glenville; three brothers, Bill (Michele) of East Canton, OH, Jack (Marsha) of Louisville, OH, and Mike (Patty) of Grafton: Although she had no children of her own, she had eleven nieces and nephews who she spoiled as her own, Billy, Jon, Greg, Tiffany, Brandie, Britney, Angela, Kristen, Karibee, Chase, and Austin. She also had 9 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Sammie Jo.
She graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1970. She was employed after graduation at the Blueville Bank of Grafton and later at Ernst and Young in Cleveland. She recently retired from the Pruntytown Correctional Center after 8 years of service as the kitchen supervisor and then administrative assistant.
She also was a 4-H leader and a volunteer.
JoEtta was well known for her love of cooking and baking and enjoyed cooking for and organizing parties. She also enjoyed caring for others.
She will be greatly missed by her furry companion, Harley.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, November 30th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Mark Miller.
Interment will follow at the West Hill Cemetery.
