James Leslie "Bud"  White
James L. (Bud) White age 92 of the Home Away From Home Assisted Living Facility (formerly of Rogers Street), Grafton, WV passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Grafton City Hospital.

James was born March 3, 1926 in Grafton, WV the son of the late Howard L. and Gladys L. (Ketchem) White.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alberta Mae (Floyd) White.

He is survived by three children, Charles L. White and wife Anna Lee of Grafton, Michael White and wife Jo of Bardstown, Ky, and Debra E. White and friend David Wilbur of Grafton; seven grandchildren, Leslie Cochran and husband Steve, Kelly McKinney and husband Mike, Heather Phillips and husband Shawn, Todd White and wife Tina of Louisville, KY, Jody White and wife Krista of Jacksonville, FL, Jedd White and wife Tabitha of Cleveland, NC, and Corey Keener of Portsmouth, OH; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

James graduated from Grafton High School with the class of 1944 then served in the US Army during WWII.

He was a retired caller for the CSX Railroad Company in Grafton and was an avid amateur photographer. He was a member of the VFW Memorial City Post 3081 of Grafton, and a former member of Grafton Elks Lodge 308.

Family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, May 7, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Kelly L. Martin officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton with military graveside services conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the WV Army National Guard of Kingwood.
