Obituary for Inez Florencd Sapp (Matthews)

Inez F. (Matthews) Sapp, age 90 of West Hill Rd. (formerly of 584 Victory Ave. Grafton, WV ) passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the home of Lonnie and Donna Mayle.
She was born October 18, 1930 in Gum Springs, Monongalia Co. the daughter of Kenneth Stanley Matthew and Geneva (Trickett) Matthew.
Inez is survived by one son; Ralph W. Sapp and wife Charlotte of Oak Grove Road, one daughter Linda E. Kantes and husband Joe of Gladesville, WV; five grandchildren Donette Marie Nines and husband Shawn of Thorntown, WV, Kimberly Dawn Goodwin and husband Larry of Rosemont, WV, Cheryl Lynn Ferrell and husband Jeffrey of Middlebourne, WV, Pamela Elaine Glover and husband Darren of Buckhannon, WV, Robert Luther Brewer III and wife Jamie of Grafton, WV ; Nine great grandchildren: Twins Liam And Regan Nines, Curtis and Hailey Goodwin, Cheyenne and Savannah Ferrell, Haden, Carter and Tate Clover and two step great grandchildren Destiny and Spencer, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; William and Robert Matthew: three sisters Oleta Williams, Sharon Watkins and Janet Poling, Son-n-law Robert Brewer Jr and former husband Ralph Sapp.
She attented Browns Chapel Grade School, Spruce Street Jr. High and Morgantown High School, also graduated from Morgantown Business College and Fairmont State College.
She worked at many Restaurants, Westinghouse Lighting Co. Baby World, Wilkons Motors and Montgomery Wards as an accountant, also at the Superintendent office of the Taylor County Board of Education as an Executive Secretary Accountant III where she retired with 27 years of service.

Inez was a member of the Church of Christ for more than 65 plus years. She was a member at the Gladesville Church of Christ. Now a member of the Blueville Church of Christ for many years, a member of Grafton Business Women, member of Grafton business Women, member of Wickwire C.E.O.S. B&O Auxiliary, and Grafton Hospital Auxiliary.
Her hobbies were flower and vegetable gardening, painting pictures of still life in oils, sewing and crafting. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and
traveling.

Private viewing for family at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 9:00- 10:00 a.m. Private funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Gladesville Cemetery.
