Glenna Marie  Carpenter (McDaniels)
Glenna Marie McDaniels Carpenter, age 66, of Grafton, WV departed this life to be with her Lord and savior on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was born in Buckhannon, WV, on December 6, 1951, to the late Charles E. and Georgia M. (Blosser) McDaniels. Glenna is survived by the love of her life, David Glen Carpenter, whom she was married to for 48 wonderful years.
She is proceeded in death by her mother and father in law, Wanda and Roger Thompson, of Buckhannon, and brother in law, Ronald Carpenter Sr., of Grafton.
In addition to her husband Glenna is survived by one son, David Glen Carpenter, Jr. and wife Tracy of Ripley, WV, and one daughter, Shannon Elaine Joyce and husband Aaron, of Grafton; one granddaughter, Tiffany Hinchman and fiancé Dakota Eye; 2 grandsons Samuel Carpenter and Adrian Joyce; 2 sisters: Karen Duckworth and Debra Young and husband Roy, all of Grafton; special niece Cassie Conner and husband Micky of Grafton; nephews Charles Waters and wife Stephanie, of Abilene, Texas and Trevor Waters, of Rivesville, WV, and several great nieces and nephews.
Glenna retired from the FBI after several years of service.
Glenna was a member of the New Testament Fellowship Church. Her faith and strength touched many lives. She enjoyed singing with her family, playing cards, watching Andy Griffith, going to the beach, and spending time with her loved ones.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton , Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be made in Glenna’s honor to the local hospice, WV Caring, 5 Hospital Plaza, Grafton, WV.
