Gladys Lee (Miller) Efaw age 89 of Maple Ave. passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Donna Mayle’s Personal Care Home surrounded by her loving family.

Gladys was born in Gasaway, Braxton County September 10, 1928, daughter of late Hubert A. “Peg” Miller and Clara B (Friend) Miller.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Wayne Efaw who passed away September 3, 2001.

She is survived by two children, Gary W Efaw and wife Sandy, and Judy L Duckworth and husband Bill both of Grafton; four grandchildren, Tracie M Weiss and husband Wayne of Fairmont; Jennifer L Moran and husband Brent of Grafton; Krista L Perks and husband Bruce of Grafton; and Erica L Cartwright and husband Zane of Grafton: seven great grandchildren Tyler Weiss, Brandon Weiss, Alexis Perks, Brooklyn Perks, Lyndsey Moran, Eyan Moran, and Natalee Cartwright; one sister Zoe Janet “Judy” Ashby of Ocean Springs, MS; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Gladys was preceded in death by one great granddaughter: Megan Faith Perks.

Gladys was a member of the St. Mathias Episcopal Church. She graduated from Grafton High School with the class of 1946.

She worked in the business office for C & P Telephone and Verizon Phone Company in Grafton for 20 years. She enjoyed her family, all animals, shopping and eating out.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, October 9th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday .
Funeral services will be conducted at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lynn Cartwright officiating.
Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park in Grafton.
