Obituary for George William Watkins
George William Watkins, 79, of Grafton passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at his home. He was born December 30, 1942 in Washington, DC a son of the late Oddford Steven and Mabel Luzzader Watkins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Kay McKeen Watkins whom he married on January 10, 1964. He is also survived by his sons, William Earl Watkins and his wife Barb of Grafton; Steven Michael Watkins and his wife Courtney of Grafton; and Michael Shawn Watkins and his wife Julie of Chicago, IL; as well as his granddaughter, Chassie Paige Watkins of Grafton.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Davis and her husband John and Karen Jeffords and her husband Alan.
George enjoyed traveling and loved to cut grass. He was employed by Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Baltimore. George went on to be named General Manager of Rexhide in Grafton and later retired from General Electric Specialty Chemicals in Westover.
