Dolories Dawn "Dee"  Gray (Moore)
Dolories Dawn “Dee” (Moore) Gray, age 81 of McGraw Ave., Grafton, WV passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Bridgeport Health Care Center.
She was born January 16, 1936 in Grafton, WV the daughter of the late J. Edward Moore and Genelda (Newlon) Moore.

She is survived by four step-children, John Gray of Arden, DE, James Gray and wife Patricia of Bridgeport, Linda Bunner and husband Mike of Kutztown, PA, and Louise Grindo and husband Frank of Sutton, WV; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Gage Gray.

Dee’s parents owned Eddie’s Market on Yates Avenue in Grafton.
From 1968 -1972 she worked as a counselor to the mentally handicapped at the Woods School in Langhorne, PA; a dental assistant at the WV School of Dentistry from 1972-1976; and since 1976 she has worked as a medical assistant at the Medical Center of Taylor County making a total of 41 years. Dee was planning to retire January 1, 2018.

She was a member of the Naomi Chapter 12 O.E.S., serving as Past Worthy Matron and receiving her 50 year pin in February 2011; past state president of the B.P.W from 1987 to 1988; past president of the Grafton Quota Club; past president of the Grafton Kiwanis of Grafton; and a two year chairman of the American Cancer Society.
Dee loved to travel to Africa, her favorite country, and loved to visit “down on the farm” in Braxton County.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, November 17th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church in Simpson, with Pastor Jerome Lewis and Chad Griffith officiating.
Interment will follow at the Simpson Cemetery.
Ms. Gray will lie in repose at the Union Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00.
