Obituary for David Lee Donne
David Lee Donne, age 70 of Clay Street, Salem, VA passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, VA.
He was born February 12, 1950 in Baltimore, MD.
Parents William “Bill” and Dorothy Paugh preceded him in death, also by one sister, Iris Lee Ridenour and ½ sister, Charlene Paugh.
He is survived by one ½ sister, Ada L. Eddy and husband William of Wana, WV; two ½ brothers, Richard Paugh of Charlottesville, VA and John Pifer and wife Valerie of Grafton, WV. Also three nieces; Tabatha McDaniel and husband Shorty, Crystal White and husband Frank, Sandra Wolfe and husband Dave. Five nephews; Robert Collins, Bryan Baublitz, Shawn Eddy and wife Nicole, Charles Ridenour and James Ridenour and wife Karen
David retired from the US Navy after serving as an airplane mechanic/pilot during the Viet Nam War and continued to serve in the Naval Reserve for several years.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon with Pastor Kevin Arkola officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the Naval Operational Support Center from Pittsburgh.
