Obituary for Darl F. Longwell Jr.
Darl Franklin Longwell, Jr., 66, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the
Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. He was born in Fairmont, WV on September 18,
1956, a son of the late Darl Franklin Longwell, Sr. and Georgia (Harrington) Longwell.
In addition to his parents, Darl was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Longwell, and two
sisters, Phyllis Jean MeGee and Cathy Longwell.
Darl is survived by one brother, Allen Williamson, and one sister, Linda Spears, both of Fairmont. He
is also survived by three nephews: Jason Heston of Fairmont, Trevor Williamson of Virginia, Craig
Williamson of Fairmont, and his cousin and caretaker, Clinton Drainer, of Flemington.
Darl worked as a taxi driver and enjoyed attending church, visiting with everyone, and participating
in Teens for Christ.
Family and friends will be received at the Mayle Chapel 17 Simpson Road in Flemington, WV, on
Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at
Mayle Chapel on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Candy Drainer presiding.
