Obituary for Coy K. Mayle

Coy K. Mayle, age 89 of Flag Run Road (Knottsville Community) Grafton passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his residence with his loving wife, son and daughter by his side. Coy was born June 21, 1929 a son of the late Earl Creed Mayle and Vestine (Croston) Mayle.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Luetta Mae (Mayle) Mayle; three children, Evelyn Charlene Mayle of Grafton, Roger Lynn Mayle and wife, Louetta of Ravenna, Ohio and Coy Kelly Mayle Jr. of Grafton, WV; three grandchildren, David Mayle, Travis Mayle, and Brittany Dye; eight great-grandchildren, Colton Mayle, Weston Mayle, Sadie Mayle, Trevor Mayle, Tyler Mayle, Talia Mayle, Heath Dye, and Graham Dye; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Coy was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by two infant sons; two brothers, Laco C. Mayle and Alfred T. “Tenny” Mayle; two sisters, Bernadine Ensa Mayle and Hattie Gertrude Mayle.

As a young man Coy served in the US Army as a PFC stationed in Germany where he was a driver during the Korean War.

He worked for the Chrysler Corp. in Twinsburg, Ohio and retired from there after 33 ½ years of service. He then relocated to his hometown of Grafton and worked over 30 years for the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home of Grafton.

He enjoyed his family, puttering in his yard, planting and raising his gladiolas and sitting on his porch.
Coy was a Member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Grafton.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00p.m.
Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with Lay Minister James Arnold officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery.
