Obituary for Cathryne Louise Poling (Bolyard)
Cathryne L. (Bolyard) Poling, age 51 of Austin Farm Road, Thornton, WV, passed away peacefully Monday, October 14, 2019 at her residence.
She was born June 25, 1968 in Grafton, WV, the daughter of Carroll L. Bolyard and Beverly (Candella) Bolyard Hickman.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, David L. Poling Jr.; one daughter, Aleece Bumgardner and husband Tim of Clarksburg; one son, David L. Poling III of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Landon Paul Bumgardner and Aubree Leigh Bumgardner; three brothers, Jim Bolyard and wife Tammy of Grafton, Chuck Bolyard and wife Stephanie of VA, and John “Boug” Bolyard and wife Teresa also of Grafton.
Cathryne graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1986. She then worked at Frank Faulkner’s State Farm office, Iscar Metals in Grafton, and Preferred Rehab in Morgantown.
Cathryne fought a long battle with cancer, but she found strength in her two grandchildren and the love of her family.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday, October 17th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Willis officiating.
At Cathryne’s request she will then be cremated.
