Albert “Carl” Nestor, age 93 of Rose Street, Grafton, WV passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Rosewood Center in Grafton.
He was born April 6, 1924 in Barbour County, WV the son of the late Willie and Beatrice Gay
( Bolton) Nestor.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Thelma “Louise” (Duckworth) Nestor; four children, Karen L. Fertig and husband Ron of Burlington, WV, James D. Nestor of Philippi, WV, Linda S. Nestor and husband Pastor Steve Edwards of Wana, WV, and Janice K. Novak of Stephen City, VA; ten grandchildren, Michael Duvall and wife Lisa, Michelle Duvall and fiance’ Rusty Smith, Tracy Martin and husband Bryan, Lori Chisler and husband Robert, Jessica R. Novak, Joseph Nestor, and Brandon “BJ” Harmison and wife Britney; several great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Jean Reed and husband, Jim of Cleveland, OH and Mildred “Millie” Phelp and husband Rick of Pisgah, NC; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Edward Novak and three sisters, Madaline Keller, Naomi Simmons, and Lorraine Henderson.

Carl graduated from Philippi High School then served in the US Navy during World War II. He owned and operated Nestor’s Mobile for 30 years. He was a member of the Fetterman United Methodist Church and the VFW Memorial City Post 3081.
He enjoyed his family, camping, fishing, and telling stories.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, October 10th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the Naval Military Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Fetterman United Methodist Church 371 George Washington Hwy., Grafton, WV 26354
